A FEW WORDS ABOUT Aina Sand Telhaug:

I was born and grew up in Oslo. The summer of 2014 I returned after five wonderful years in Bergen, where I studied at Bergen School of Architecture. During my fourth year at BAS I spent 7 months at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Chile, as a part of an exchange program. I started at the Helen & Hard’s Oslo office in 2014.

For me architecture is a holistic picture created by the collective society, and I’m grateful to take part in shaping our environments. As architects we face many challenges regarding values, economy and environmental issues. All of us have a responsibility and I appreciate working with sustainable architecture at Helen & Hard.

The process of developing a project is crucial and I find participatory process both inspiring and rewarding. The architect should facilitate for local initiatives and aim to create environments where people want to engage in their surroundings. Small initiatives may have big impacts.

In my spare time I love enjoying the beauty of the Norwegian nature, no matter season.
