A FEW WORDS ABOUT Paola Simone Garcia:

I was born and raised in Madrid in a Spanish-Italian family and studied architecture at ETSAM where I graduated in 2008. After spending some time at TUDelft in The Netherlands, I worked at Estudio Herreros in Madrid where I participated in many national and international projects.

In 2009 I took part in the competition project for the New Munch Museum in Oslo that ended up being the winning proposal.

I started traveling back and forth from Norway to Spain for many months coordinating the local and in-house teams and finally moved to Oslo in 2011 to explore new possibilities in my career.

Fully established in Norway, I collaborated for several years with Ghilardi+Hellsten, where I participated in projects of a wide variety of scales and locations.

As a personal project, in 2016, I joined the curatorial team for the Oslo Architecture Triennale - After Belonging, and worked as exhibition architect for the two main exhibitions.

My experience living and working in different cultures, languages and architecture traditions, has shown me the importance of multidisciplinary work as a complex structure that has to be developed from the very beginning of the design process until the building phase.

As part of the Helen & Hard team, I am happy to participate in developing new sustainable projects in such a diverse and international environment.

I like to spend my free time outdoors: hiking, skiing or traveling. And indoors, I have become a bread-baking nerd.
