My approach to architecture has always been with strong focus on the specific context and the user of a given project, combined with a strong awareness of the responsibility we as architects have to contribute to a more sustainable way of life.
I was born and raised in Sandnes, Norway. At the age of nineteen I moved to Denmark to take a semester at the architecture studio at Krabbesholm Højskole. This semester really sparked my interest for the subject and I moved to Copenhagen the year after to attend The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture (KADK).
During my studies I also spent a year as an intern at various architecture firms and attended one semester in Melbourne at RMIT. I graduated from KADK in 2013 with a thesis concentrating on reprogramming an old industrial harbour area in the city center of Sandnes, a concern regarding several other cities all over the world as well.
After my graduation I worked for SLA and COBE in Copenhagen for four years, before moving back home to Norway and joining the great team at Helen & Hard in Stavanger in 2017.
